About the Apache Rally Buggy

The awesome Apache Rally Buggy use a 750cc Honda V-Twin motorcycle engine, complete with a 6-speed sequential gearbox and clutch. In dry conditions, this buggy has the potential to accelerate from 0-60mph in under 4 seconds and can reach 100mph in around 7 seconds!

Combine the power of this engine driving the rear wheels, with a reasonably light space-frame chassis, and you have a better power to weight ratio than most Porsche’s. Throw in some normal road tyres and a flat dirt surface and you have a recipe for minimal grip and massive amounts of sideways fun.

You will be driving the buggy with an instructor sitting in the passenger seat with dual controls. You are responsible for the gas and brakes while the instructor will operate the cluch and sequential geabox. Believe us, this is more than enough for you to concentrate on! If you are choosing one of our Private Tuition Sessions, you will take full control once the instructor is happy with your progress.

With the drifting scene in the UK becoming popular, we have found that there is a huge demand for the opportunity for both novices and experienced drivers to 'go sideways', 'get the back end out' and use opposite lock and drifting techniques. This will help to either gain the basic knowledge or improve on existing skills in a safe environment.

Our Apache Buggy is an extremely powerful two seat vehicle that allows us to keep an instructor on board for the duration of sessions. If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to slide a vehicle around at high speed like all the best rally drivers, then this is probably right up your street.

Booking an Apache Rally Buggy Session

You can either give us a call and arrange a date and time to take part in this activity, or you can purchase a gift voucher using the Add to Cart buttons on the right hand side. Once you have received your gift voucher, you simply call to arrange a suitable date and time.

We book all of our activities on a time slot basis. If you are late for your time slot you will lose it - please understand that the participants booked in after your slot would not be expected to hang around just because you were late starting. Of course we will do everything we can to fit you in if there are vacant slots throughout the day, but you may have to hang around for a while until a slot becomes available. Please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated time slot.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have booked a time slot with us and simply fail to show up your voucher will become void with no refund. We prefer to have at least 7 days notice if you would like to change your booking with us but require at least 48 hours notice to a change of booking.

Restrictions: No driving licence is required for our Apache Rally Buggy as the track is on privately owned land. We cater for ages from 16 who have the basics of operating a motor vehicle. We would advise that participants are in a reasonable state of good health and are not suffering from back or neck problems. If in doubt, please ask us before booking. An instructor will be in the buggy with you at all times.

Opening Hours

From April 1st to October 31st we are open every weekend from 10.00am until 5.00pm for single participants and small groups. We are open 7 days a week for large groups and corporate participating in multi activities and can extend the opening hours until dusk.

From November 1st until March 31st we open most Saturdays and selected Sundays 10.00am until 1 hour before dusk dependent on the weather conditions. It may be possible to open midweek for larger groups and corporate partricipating in multi activities.

Etiquette

We ask all of our customers to act in a responsible manner at all times. Motorsports can be dangerous if not treated with respect. We take customer and staff safety very seriously and kindly ask every participant to listen to all instruction and obey all requests from staff. We will not tolerate abusive behaviour at any time towards our staff, customers or spectators.

Extra Options

On-board camera - From £30.00

We can set the Apache up to record on-board video footage so that you can catch all of the action. We supply you with a 2Gb SD card which is good for an hours worth of footage. You keep the SD card and download on to your own computer.

Photography - P.O.A

If you would like the days action caught on camera, we have a professional photographer on site.

Merchandise

We can take your pictures and create mousemats, mugs, canvas pictures, keyrings, t-shirts and a whole host of other keep-sakes. Please visit our reception on-site to see what is available.

Refreshments

We have a selection of cold drinks and confectionary available in our reception area. There is also a fast food outlet on-site.
